Some people told me that helping Victor with his LinkedIn posts would never work.
A week ago he had 2 connections. Who would ever see his posts?
Seven days later, LinkedIn analytics show 83,285 post impressions. He now has 127 followers and 39 connections. That is about 650 impressions for every follower.

Victor Kimotho builds work.ke with me, a free job board in Kenya. His posts cover the problems Kenyan job seekers face, backed by data from our own job board.
The numbers
His best post for reach, half of Kenyan job ads hide their identity, got 28,116 impressions and reached 21,513 members. 98% of the impressions came from outside his network.

His best post for followers, never pay an agent to secure an attachment in Kenya, brought 32 new followers and 36 profile visits from 21,664 impressions.

Together these two posts brought 50 of his 127 followers. More screenshots are on the Results page.
Why it worked
- One painful money problem for Kenyan job seekers per post.
- A hard number from our own job data in the first line.
- Checklists worth saving, not generic motivation.
- The hook in big type right on the image.
- Extra facts and sharp questions in his own comments.
What made zero difference
Network size.
LinkedIn shows your post to people who care about the topic, not to your friends. Those two posts had almost 50,000 impressions between them, and 98% came from outside his network.
A small profile is never the bottleneck. Boring, generic content is.
If you are starting from zero
Stop waiting for an audience. Start publishing data nobody else has. Pick one problem your buyers feel, put a real number in the first line and give them something worth saving.
Reach is not pipeline, so measure what comes next. I wrote about that in 50,000 views and zero pipeline.
What would you post first if you had 2 connections today?
